Unwrapping the Names of Jesus

Unwrapping the Names of Jesus: Messiah | 11.28.21 | Pastor Dale Hippensteel
This Sunday begins the season of Advent! This year, as we await the birth of our Savior, we will not be waiting until Christmas Day to unwrap the gift of his Presence in our lives. In our next worship series, we are preparing for Christ’s birth by Unwrapping the Names of Jesus! Each week, we will unwrap a new name that reveals an aspect of Jesus’ identity and character, preparing us for the joy of his incarnation. Pastor Dale Hippensteel will be preaching this Sunday as we unwrap the first name of Jesus in this series: Messiah. For more names of Jesus, consider picking up the book by Asheritah Ciuciu which includes devotions and activities for all to participate in this Advent season.

Unwrapping the Names of Jesus: The Word of God | 12.05.21 | Pastor Austin White
As we continue to unwrap the names of Jesus, we will be discovering that Jesus is the Word of God, who was there at the beginning and became human to walk with us, talk with us, and make us whole again. He is the Creative, Communicative, and Complete Word of God who is still creating goodness in our lives each and every day.

Unwrapping the Names of Jesus: Prince of Peace | 12.12.21 | Pastor Tim Parker
Please welcome Pastor Tim Parker, as he preaches at each service this Sunday!
There are many places in our life where we may claim to be at peace with a particular situation, person, or outcome, yet we still feel tension, stress, and anxiety. Do you think this is the kind of peace Jesus brings? Or do you believe that Jesus came as the Prince of Peace to bring the kind of peace that passes all understanding and transforms all of our shortcomings? Let’s unwrap this name of Jesus and see how God’s plan for peace is so much more than the absence of conflict. Jesus came as the Prince of Peace so that our identity in him may be restored!

Unwrapping the Names of Jesus: Immanuel | 12.19.21 | Pastor Dale Parker
Tis the season to be overwhelmed with the demands of Christmas, to be manipulated by relatives with unreasonable expectations, and to be lonely in a world that is marketing new gadgets to substitute our needs for fulfillment. While the world’s “Seasonal Greetings” may offer very little, let us unwrap the gift that gives us remarkable hope, joy, peace and love. This priceless gift is from Heaven. It is called Immanuel. It means “God is with us”. When we acknowledge the awesomeness of God’s presence, the circumstances may be the same but they will not consume us. The life of God who is with us outshines the darkness that surrounds us. Christmas without Christ is just a ‘mas’ or mess. But, with Christ it is the most wonderful time of the year.

Unwrapping the Names of Jesus: Alpha and Omega | 12.26.21 | Pastor Austin Parker
Join us this Sunday, the day after Christmas, as we continue our sermon series by unwrapping Jesus as the Alpha and Omega. Jesus is the first and the last; the beginning and the end. He is the gift that gave us life, and the gift that completes our lives. Without Jesus, our author and Creator, would not be here. Without Jesus, the finisher of our faith, we would not have access to life. Jesus not only offers us a new beginning, but he brings all things to completion, and through him, God is with us forever.
