You wake up one day to find all spiritual feelings are gone. You pray and nothing seems to happen. You read your Bible and understand the words but there is no spark. You search your heart and God appears to be vacant. You are not alone! This experience is more common than we admit. Let us struggle with this reality and learn how it may draw us closer to God.

Week 2 (03.13) – Into the Mystery
For God, everything is possible… so when we go through difficult times, why doesn’t God just remove our suffering from us? Does He really care? Is He really there? Maybe you have been through a “Gethsemane moment” with God and have asked these questions before in your darkest hour of need. Are you willing to embark into the mysteries of God? Through an honest and unfiltered prayer life, we can learn to trust that in God despite our questions and our suffering, and maybe even pray the prayer that Jesus prayed: “Not my will, but yours be done.”

Week 3 (03.20) – Forsaken by God
When we experience unanswered prayers during times of immense suffering, we often assume that God has abandoned us. Worse yet, we may be tempted to believe He does not exist. Could it be that when we feel forsaken by God, He has an incredible plan? Could it be that things are not always as they appear? While being honest with God in our pain and suffering, let us also spend time with God so He can lead us into a deeper relationship with Him.

Week 6 (04.10) – God Save Us… Never Mind
This week we will be wrapping up our God On Mute series with the one who is the answer to all our prayers. When Jesus came to Jerusalem riding on a donkey he was received with a parade of rejoicing, but shortly after his triumphal entry, the same people who shouted “Hosanna, please save us!” were shouting “Crucify Him!” Jesus experienced the mountaintop of rejoicing and the valley of suffering back to back, but he remained faithful through it all.
