A New Year is Upon Us

A new year is upon us and usually we are more reflective during this season of our future. We may be consumed with worry as we become another year older. As senior citizens, perhaps we think more about how we will manage our finances, our health, our homes, our independence, and our lives. It is winter and for many of us our focus is on the bleakness of daily life. I encourage you in this new year to seek out the scriptures to feel God’s reassurances that He will provide, and that He will purpose our future and be our HOPE.

“For you know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper and not harm you, plans for hope and a future.”
– Jeremiah 29:11 

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
– Phillipians 4:6

“Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed. For I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
– Isaiah 41:10

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous . Do not be afraid. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
