Sunday School

Experiencing and Learning about God's Love

"Christ is alive and goes before us to show and share what love can do. This is a day of new beginnings. Our God is making all things new."

God's love for us is the reason Aldersgate lives, and it is the ultimate meaning around which we attempt to make sense of life's blessings and struggles. Aldersgate's Sunday School offers an exciting ministry and intentional focus on dealing with lives as they relate to God's love through Jesus Christ.

Our Sunday School encourages you to set aside time each week to learn about and experience God's love in a Christian educational setting. Meeting from 9:30 -- 10:20 a.m. every Sunday morning of the year, Aldersgate's Sunday School has classes for all ages and from a variety of perspectives.

We hope that you will join a class this Sunday. If you do, we believe that you will experience nothing less than God's love for you -- indeed for us! Join us!

The Safe Sanctuaries emphasis of Aldersgate Church is to ensure that your children are cared for in a loving and safe environment. This includes a sign-in/sign-out system for children ages infant through 3rd grade and mandatory training for emergency situations.

On Sundays during the 10:30 worship service, children who are four years old through grade two leave the service, as designated in the worship bulletin, for a special learning time. Adults meet the children at the sanctuary east door to take them to their appropriate classes.

Confirmation Class (library)
Confirmation is intended to be a time for young adults, grade seven and above, to learn everything they ever wanted to know about the church and to experience God's love through each other. This class is inclusive in its study scope and having as its goal the reception of its students into church membership. This class also takes field trips to learn about the history and mission of the United Methodist Church. Classes begin in mid January and continue until Pentecost Sunday when confirmands are received into membership.
