UMC Update

The vote at the special church conference on Sunday, was 181 to Disaffiliate (82%) and 40 (18%) to remain UMC. This met the requirement for leaving the United Methodist Denomination by being more than 2/3 of the members in attendance.

The leadership team will proceed with the required paperwork to the Susquehanna Conference. The Conference will vote on our disaffiliation at the annual meeting in Williamsport on May 18 – 20. Our disaffiliation will become official when approved at the Annual Conference.
