As many of you know, Aldersgate Church has been going through a transformation. The Spirit of God is breathing life into this church and inspiring us to take steps forward. One of our core values is excellence, and excellence in this era involves the use of technology.
The church is venturing into some new and exciting technological territory
The church is venturing into some new and exciting technological territory, but we are not doing so frivolously or carelessly. We are taking big strides forward as an investment to advance the church in the most excellent way we can, making us better stewards of what God has given us.
We have many exciting things on the horizon at Aldersgate: a new electronic children’s checkin, electronic attendance keeping, online membership profiles (for personal management), technological advancements in the Sanctuary, upgraded recordings for the Traditional Service, and the ability to livestream the Contemporary Service.
In order to truly honor God in these advances, we need the church to get behind this endeavor.
We are always in need volunteers who are willing to step up, be trained, and make things happen on a Sunday morning and beyond. Let’s not take our technology for granted, but rather, let’s all pull together and do it all to the glory of God.
If you are interested in being trained for the tech team, please send an email to [email protected] or reach out to me personally, then I will get you connected with the proper trainers.
If you are interested in sound board training in Fellowship Hall, I will connect you with Keith Murr. If you want to help run the EasyWorship slides on Sunday mornings or Saturday Nights, Jacqui Brzuchalski is the expert trainer and schedule coordinator. If you want to learn more about the new lighting in Fellowship Hall and how to run it, I will connect you with Nick Curry for more information and training.
One of our most pressing needs at the moment is assistance running the sound and slides during the Traditional Services (8am and 10:30am). This job is very easy to learn, but it is a really meaningful contribution to the traditional worship experience. Not only is it a meaningful act of service, but it can be pretty fun to do!
Please reach out to me if this is a way you could serve at Aldersgate. Furthermore, if you have any questions regarding technology or if you have run into any problems with technology at the church, please send an email to [email protected] We will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner, and when necessary, we will pass your questions and information along to the appropriate people for efficient resolution.
