An Update for March
I recently read an article online written by Bethesda Senior Living Communities that
impacted on my perceptions of growing older. It reminded me that scripture tells us that growing older has many benefits.
“Each day you wake up with more knowledge than you had yesterday.Your wisdom helps you connect with fellow seniors, but it also makes you an inspiration for younger generations. As you progress through your golden years, cast your fears aside and remember what Scripture says about aging gracefully.”
Job 12:12, “Wisdom belongs to the aged and understanding to the old.”
“God has big plans for you, and you will have a lifetime of everlasting joy when you enter heaven’s gates”
Corinthians II 4:16 – 17, “Though outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are renewed day by day. Our suffering is light and temporary and is producing for us an eternal glory that is greater than anything we can imagine.”
“God promises to stay by your side from birth until your final days.”
Isaiah 46:4, “I will be your God throughout your lifetime – until your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.”
“God will never abandon you, and He will work tirelessly to help you grow in the image of the Lord. His work is never done as long as you are on earth.”
Philippians 1:16 , “For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”

A Prayer for Hope & Encoragement
“Lord, physical changes may reveal I’m getting older, but I couldn’t feel more alive and ready to face each new day in the light of Your love. Knowing and serving You brings joy and strength with a steadfast endurance deep within. It’s an energy and passion to which nothing else compares. You are an awesome God. In Your Precious Name, Amen.
