Madeline L’Engle heard her young daughter crying out one night because something had frightened her as she slept. L’Engle went to comfort her, and among other things she said, “Don’t be afraid dear, God is with you.” To which her still frightened daughter replied, “I know that Mommy, but I want somebody with some skin on.”
Sometimes we are that somebody. There are many exciting things going on at Aldersgate. Look for an opportunity to support or serve. You can make a difference. Edward Everett Hale puts it like this:
“I am only one, But still I am one. I cannot do everything, But still I can do something, And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something I can do.”
