What an exciting start to the school year
Wow! So many wonderful things have been happening. We are in our beautiful new classroom now and the children and their families love it! We have so much space to move and explore – we are sure to have an AMAZING school year!
I would like to send a special thanks to all of the volunteers that have been working tirelessly to help keep our project moving forward. The time and effort you have put into this project is a testament to how much you value our children! You are a blessing to us all! I am also over the moon that all of our classes are at full enrollment this year.
This year the children will be “Throwing Kindness Around Like Confetti!” We will be weaving kindness and caring into everything we do this year. One of our new adventures will be taking the 4-year-old class to Elmcroft Senior Living and visiting with and entertaining the residents. I am excited to have our children interact with the seniors and reach out to our community. The preschoolers will also be actively involved with filling shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. The preschool will be providing Bibles to the children in the 4-year-old class and encouraging parents to read it with their child at home.
We are now entering a very busy and exciting time of year in the preschool-celebrating the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanksgiving is such a special time of year when we reflect on all the blessings God has given us. During the month of November, the children will be learning about the first Thanksgiving. We will end the month celebrating the holiday with a feast of our own. Obviously, Christmas is a BIG deal in preschool. The children will be celebrating with Santa, but more importantly, they will learn the story of Jesus’ birth and that Jesus is the true reason for the season!
Just a friendly reminder that the preschool participates in the Giant A+ Rewards Program. Please consider registering your Giant Bonus Card to help our preschool earn money to help fund our amazing program as well as scholarships for families in need.
