June is sometimes the month of good-byes and new beginnings. The Preschool’s Spring Program was delightful as the children performed many songs with lots of actions! Several children have been here for three years and now it’s good-bye as they enjoy the summer before heading off to Kindergarten. Several of our Youth are graduating from High School and heading off to college later this summer.
Youth Sunday
Speaking of our Youth, if you were not present for Youth Sunday, you really missed out! Our J-Walkers did an awesome job leading us in worship through song and then sharing their faith with us!
Goodbye, Pastor Rick
Pastor Rick will be saying good-bye as he leaves Aldersgate to begin his next ministry assignment in Gettysburg. A Celebration of his Ministry will be held on June 2nd in honor of the time he served at Aldersgate. What a joy it has been to have Pastor Rick with us for these past three years. Those of us who had the privilege of working with him and getting to know him better, so appreciate the gifts he brought to Aldersgate: his calm presence; his example of placing his total trust in God’s plan for him and for us; his amazing sermon presentations; his vast knowledge of scripture and sharing it in Sermons and Bible studies, his knowledge of church trends; his ability to listen and pull out the gist of things; his faithfulness in visiting the sick; the grace he so freely extended to everyone, even if it was undeserved; his computer knowledge and patience in helping this writer with Excel!
Thank you, Pastor Rick, for being such a blessing to us!
Welcome, Pastor Dale
On the coattails of saying goodbye to Pastor Rick, Aldersgate will welcome our new Pastor, Dale Parker and his wife, Tami.
New Members
June will introduce 14 new members to Aldersgate Church through the Youth Confirmation Class, as well as a few new adult members! You better not vacation too long this summer, or you might miss something important!
